With a collaborative and inclusive culture, the team at WorkCover Queensland strives to set the standard in worker's compensation and operate with a shared vision of excellence, integrity, respect, and responsiveness.About the RoleAs Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a pivotal member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will report to the newly appointed CEO and oversee WorkCover's financial transformation. The role will require you to lead the entire finance function including Financial Control, Premium and Investments, Pricing, Data Analytics, Strategic Procurement, Payroll, and Facilities. Managing an operating budget of $228 million and $6 billion funds under management, you will provide strategic financial oversight and drive commercial outcomes across the organisation. This position will be key in achieving WorkCover's long term strategy, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture focused on efficiency, continuous improvement, and customer centric solutions.About YouAs the ideal candidate for WorkCover Queensland's CFO role, you will be a dynamic and seasoned financial leader, bringing a wealth of expertise in transformation. Your background will include strong strategic oversight, financial acumen, and a commitment to driving positive outcomes. Specifically, you will possess:CPA or CA membership and an AICD accreditation would also be highly desirable.Extensive experience steering strategic outcomes and overseeing financial operations in a large and complex organisation, particularly one undergoing transformation.A proven financial management, strategic planning, budgeting, and compliance track record.Expertise in data-driven decision-making, pricing, risk management, and investment strategy.Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and results-oriented culture.Superior communication, stakeholder engagement, and team-building abilities.If you're prepared to lead and influence WorkCover Queensland's financial future, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Queenslanders' lives.
