The Group focuses on delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.The RoleThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key position within the Executive Management team of the Group and will play a critical supporting role to the CEO in assisting the Group achieve its strategic objectives.
Managing the finance function as well as overseeing HR, marketing and payroll you will provide strategic and high level financial and accounting advice, performance analysis, and support to senior management/the Executive, and the Board.
As part of this, you will be comfortable embedding yourself into the operations to ensure a thorough understanding of the revenue and cost drivers and to be able to identify opportunities to further the financial and operational success of the Group.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Preparation of the Budget and Monthly Management Reports for Management/the Executive and Board consideration;Preparation and submission of the annual financial statements for external audit and successful completion of annual audit;Contribute to the development of the Group's longer-term strategic direction;Liaising closely with operational management to ensure they have a clear understanding of the financial performance of their business unit;Management of the cashflows and cashflow forecasting;Ensuring compliance with respect to legislative and regulatory requirements and internally with respect to contemporary financial policies and procedures, and control/risk management.About YouTo be successful in this highly rewarding role you will:be a Chartered Accountant (ANZ) or CPA, or equivalent.have proven experience in successfully leading the finance function of a medium sized organisation to achieve strategic and operational goals.have a proven track record as a trusted advisor to senior management and Boards.have highly developed communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills including the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships throughout the organisation and externally.Your BenefitsYou will have the opportunity to play an integral role within a growing organisation that is well-established and highly regarded in the Canberra community.
