The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the group of companies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving strategic financial planning.
The CFO will work closely with each company's CEO and the board to develop and implement financial strategies that support strategic and operational objectives.
Collectively with the Finance team, drive the operational performance, whilst fostering a growth mindset.
The CFO will provide executive leadership, advice and guidance to the CSGroup of companies.Reporting Relationships
The CFO will report and be accountable to the Managing Director.
This position shall have direct access to key stakeholders and CEOs that form part of CSGroup.
The finance team shall report to this position.Core Duties
Oversee the management of the financial systems, controls, and processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for key stakeholders, reflecting the financial performance of the Company and the CSGroup, to support informed decision-making.Enhance financial internal controls, ensuring the Company and the Group operate lawfully, ethically, and responsibly, and comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, or contractual/reporting requirements.Provide strategic advice to key stakeholders on accounting and compliance ensuring alignment with best practices and organisational goals.Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, excellent service delivery, and professional development.Develop and evaluate business plans and options for income streams and business opportunities in cooperation with the CEO.Provide strategic financial management, including cost and revenue optimisation, risk management, planning, and implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Collaborate with the executive leadership team to establish long-range financial goals, strategies, and plans, including investment strategies, budgeting and initiatives, ensuring they support the overall strategic direction of the organisation.Establish and monitor appropriate benchmarks and performance standards for the organisation's financial position, ensuring financial management processes identify, quantify, report, and adequately manage all significant financial risk exposures.Ensure the development and delivery of procurement, fleet, and business support strategies to deliver improved services, target benefits, and cost savings, aligning with the strategic objectives of the organisation.Deliver high-level strategic advice on financial performance to the CEO, Board, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.Develop, implement, and present financial strategy and planning recommendations, including unit pricing, targeted growth areas, and return on investment strategies.Conduct strategic financial analysis, including unit costing, underpinning, and validating business case assumptions for decision support and evaluation, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.Be experienced in crisis management techniques to effectively navigate economic downturns.Identify cost saving measures and improve operational efficiencies and technology enhancements to support and advance financial strategies.Seek external business development opportunities and source partnership opportunities for enlarging the market and scope of business area services and products.Key Skills and Attributes:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a senior financial leadership role.Proven experience in driving financial planning and strategy, including risk management and investment strategies.In-depth knowledge of corporate financial regulations and risk management practices.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a finance team, including controllers, treasurers, and financial analysts.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare reliable forecasting reports and analyse organisational operations for efficiency.Proven track record in identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and improving operational efficiency.Demonstrated ability to lead and problem-solving abilities.Collaborative mindset and adaptability to change.Preferred Qualifications
