This hands-on role is also responsible for leading the Finance, Invoicing, Collections, and Payroll teams in the business.The ideal candidate will bring a forward-thinking approach to financial management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success. This role could be the perfect stepping-stone for a Senior Financial Controller looking to take the next step in their career.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.Lead long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company's strategy.Financial Management and Reporting:Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budgets.Lead the preparation of CommBank financial reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.Ensure compliance with relevant Australian financial regulations, tax laws and compliance and reporting requirements, and staying abreast of any changes or updates in financial legislation.Evaluate insurance needs, procuring appropriate coverage, and managing insurance policies to mitigate risks and protect the company's assets.Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes. Operational Efficiency:Implement robust financial systems, controls, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and integrity.Collaborate with executive and senior management to develop financial strategies aligned with business objectives, identifying opportunities for growth, cost savings, and risk mitigation.Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis, industry knowledge, and financial expertise to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.Optimise the company's financial performance by identifying areas for cost reduction and operational improvements.Oversee treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, and investor relations functions. Leadership and Development:Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance, Invoicing and Collection teams.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and collaboration within the team and across the organisation.Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and ELT on all financial matters.Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the long-term financial health of the organisation.Oversee the management of financial liabilities and assets, including investments, capital structure, and debt financing.Stakeholder Relations:Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including CBA, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.Communicate financial performance and strategies to the Board of Directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders.About you:CA or CPA qualifiedMinimum of five years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as Senior Financial Controller, Head of Finance or emerging CFO.Proven experience in financial strategy development and execution.Strong understanding of corporate finance and financial planning.Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience in Telecommunications or similar services industry preferred.The Perks!Apart from a great company culture, we offer you:Free home internet & mobile phone planOngoing learning and development opportunities$150 voucher of your choice and a day off to celebrate your birthday.Work anniversary prizesPositive Customer Feedback & Employee Shout Out prizes.AFL and BBL season ticketsSamsung product discounts through our partnership Partnerships with reputable charities, namely, Telco Together and PancareOur famous Christmas party (it's a big deal!)If you are passionate about applying your exceptional finance experience in dynamic and growing company, submit your application today!*Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
