This hands-on role is also responsible for leading the Finance, Invoicing, Collections, and Payroll teams in the business.The ideal candidate will bring a forward-thinking approach to financial management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success. This role could be the perfect stepping-stone for a Senior Financial Controller looking to take the next step in their career.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.Lead long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company's strategy.Financial Management and Reporting:Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budgets.Lead the preparation of CommBank financial reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.Ensure compliance with relevant Australian financial regulations, tax laws and compliance and reporting requirements, and staying abreast of any changes or updates in financial legislation.Evaluate insurance needs, procuring appropriate coverage, and managing insurance policies to mitigate risks and protect the company's assets.Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes. Operational Efficiency:Implement robust financial systems, controls, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and integrity.Collaborate with executive and senior management to develop financial strategies aligned with business objectives, identifying opportunities for growth, cost savings, and risk mitigation.Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis, industry knowledge, and financial expertise to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.Optimise the company's financial performance by identifying areas for cost reduction and operational improvements.Oversee treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, and investor relations functions.
