Chief Financial Officer (CFO) + Company Secretary Skip to content Experteq is an Australian-owned and operated mid-tier IT Managed and Professional Services provider with over 30 years of experience delivering technology solutions to more than 50 banking, finance, corporate, and government clients across the nation, including 30% of Australia's Authorised Deposit-taking Institutions. After a 24-year tenure with Experteq, our CFO is retiring, leaving an exciting opportunity for an experienced CFO to join our Executive Leadership Team, acting as both the CFO and Company Secretary, reporting directly to the CEO.On a daily basis you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our financial and governance strategies by leading the financial management efforts, while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.Your primary areas of focus will be:Craft and Lead: Developing, implementing, and executing our financial strategy, steering forecasting, financial modelling, and annual budgeting.Drive Performance: Managing financial outcomes, while spearheading improvements and efficiencies.Ensure Compliance: Overseeing the analysis and reporting of financial statements, ensuring alignment with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.Optimize Cash Flow: Handling cash flow management, risk mitigation, and cultivate external relationships.Streamline Operations: Supervising day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Receivable, tax compliance, and outsourced payroll.Analise and Report: Use advanced modelling tools to enhance financial performance analysis and reporting. Provide accurate forecasting, scenario analysis, and data visualisation to support strategic decision-making.Corporate Governance:Manage Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards. Managing board meetings, maintain statutory registers, and overseeing document filings.Board Support: Serving as the key liaison between the board and management, advising on governance best practices, and supporting the onboarding of new board members.Leadership:Executive Collaboration: Partnering with the CEO and Executive team to drive strategic initiatives and achieve operational goals. Leading financial and governance matters, contributing to the company's strategic plan while working closely with the ELT and SLT to ensure financial and operational alignment. Team Development: Leading and mentoring a team of 4 you will fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement to ensure your team is well-equipped to meet Experteq's financial goals and business objectives.Qualifications and Experience;Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial management role with at least 5 years as a CFO of a private company.
