Drive innovative education and training at WAI with bold strategic direction Shape the Institute's future by forging alliances and aligning goals Champion WAI on the national and international stage William Angliss Institute (WAI) is the specialist training provider for foods, tourism, hospitality and events, delivering a range of courses within Australia and internationally.
With around 12,000 students enrolling each year, WAI offers a broad range of training and education programs including accredited traineeships and apprenticeships, short courses through to diplomas, graduate certificates, bachelors and masters degrees.
For 80 years WAI has earned a strong global reputation through the delivery of innovative training solutions and consultancy services to clients across Australia and abroad.
Reporting to a highly engaged and aspirational Board, you will provide strategic direction to ensure WAI delivers high-quality, innovative education and training across vocational and higher education programs.
As a visionary leader you will develop and align the Institute's strategy with its organizational goals and build strategic alliances with diverse stakeholders.
You will manage daily operations within approved budgets and compliance standards while establishing internal controls and overseeing financial sustainability.
As the face of WAI, you will represent the Institute's interests to high-level stakeholders in government and industry on both national and international levels while fostering strong relationships that support WAI's mission.
As a people focused leader and a proven executive, you bring significant experience in complex operating environments ideally within post-secondary education or aligned sectors.
You understand how to work with Boards and have also demonstrated experience in building a culture of innovation and how to positively disrupt a sector.
Interpersonally, you are well presented, approachable and bring a sense of optimism and entrepreneurial business acumen.
