Good Shepherd Lodge is a respected, not-for-profit leader in aged care and retirement living in Mackay, Queensland.
Since its inception in 1974, we have grown to operate two aged care facilities comprising 280 beds across both sites: Good Shepherd Lodge and Kerrisdale Gardens, as well as over 100 Independent Living Units and Home Care services.
Our purpose is to provide an excellent working environment, and a caring, safe and stimulating environment that supports our residents and clients to live their later years to the fullest.

The role
We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organisation.
This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to drive strategic and operational excellence while upholding the core values of Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic direction, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Lead the Management Team to achieve high standards of care and operational excellence.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the organisation's success in a dynamic industry landscape.
Ensure commercial sustainability and success in a rapidly growing sector.
Lead and cultivate a purpose-driven team and a culture of excellence.
Oversee and enhance the operational performance of a vibrant, people-focused organisation, driving asset optimisation and delivering value to the community.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications: Relevant graduate and postgraduate qualifications.
Extensive leadership experience in managing medium-sized commercial organisations, ideally within the aged care sector.

Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead with vision and integrity, aligned with the values of the brand.
Proven track record in people management and empowerment.

Financial Acumen: Expertise in financial management and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a deep understanding of aged care issues and industry trends.

About You:
To succeed as the CEO, you will leverage your significant previous experience in leading multi-site operations, in a senior role within the sector.
Your extensive knowledge of industry dynamics will enable you to collaborate effectively with Directors, Executives, and internal managers to ensure strong financial management, strategic planning and excellent operational management.
You will embody a people-centric leadership style, promoting an open-door policy that empowers your team to share ideas and drive innovation.
You are a trustworthy, empathetic leader, who tackles challenges head-on and drives change.
