These areas include Family Safety, Homelessness Support, Children, Youth and Families, and Residential Services and Social Housing.
Role Overview MASP is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation to provide outstanding services to clients in a values-driven, high-performance culture.
The CEO will be responsible for a broad range of key functions, ensuring the smooth operation and sustainability of MASP through effective leadership, strategic planning, and financial management.
The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with strong experience in not-for-profit management, strategic planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
This role requires a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for the community and a passion for driving the mission of MASP forward.
About the Person The ideal candidate for the Chief Executive Officer role will have a strong background in business management, with a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.
They will have extensive leadership experience, and a proven track record in the collaborative development of strategic and business plans.
The successful candidate will demonstrate high-level commercial acumen and exceptional financial management skills, complemented by advanced leadership and managerial capabilities.
Strong problem-solving, conceptual, and analytical skills will be crucial, particularly in identifying emerging issues and risks and developing strategies for change.
In addition, the candidate will have excellent organisational abilities, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of how to leverage information technology to enhance service delivery.
Their experience will include effective stakeholder management, particularly with government entities, and a history of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve client outcomes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with highly developed interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, are essential.
Experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in community services would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities Develop and review comprehensive three-to-five year strategic plans aligned with MASP's purpose and community needs.Identify and pursue growth opportunities for new and existing programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Secure funding through grants and philanthropic efforts to support MASP's growth and operational needs.Lead and develop the MASP Executive Team and staff, enhancing a values-based, high-performance culture.Build strong partnerships with government and other organisations to enhance service delivery across the Mallee region.Represent MASP at industry forums, conferences, and events to raise the organisation's profile.Ensure compliance with funding bodies and statutory requirements through internal audits and up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations.Maintain strong financial controls, adhering to legal frameworks, policies, and procedures.Oversee the development of annual financial plans and reporting against budgets.Ensure the successful delivery of MASP's Therapeutic Model of Care.Implement mechanisms to measure client outcomes and create an evidence base of MASP's impact in the community.Plan and manage staff recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.Support the Board in ensuring effective governance and decision-making processes.Develop succession plans for the CEO role and key executive positions.The CEO will be responsible for driving strategic growth, ensuring strong financial and operational controls, and leading a committed team while building external partnerships.
This includes overseeing the delivery of key services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and encouraging an environment that prioritises staff development and client outcomes.
The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, with some out-of-hours work expected.
