Please note: this role is being advertised on behalf of Parks Victoria About the role Parks Victoria is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Chief Executive Officer. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual who can provide strategic and collaborative leadership to enhance the performance of our organisation. As the CEO, you will lead Parks Victoria in delivering outstanding services to the Victorian community, supporting the management of Country by Traditional Owners, and protecting the unique natural and cultural values of Victoria's parks. You will also contribute to Victoria's economic prosperity by enabling sustainable tourism and economic opportunities.
Reporting to the Parks Victoria Board, the CEO will inspire and develop an experienced workforce to deliver exceptional park management, tourism, and conservation services aligned with government priorities. You will focus on implementing best practice safety and quality standards, outstanding fiscal management, and a proactive approach to risk management. Your leadership skills, experience working with Traditional Owners, and ability to navigate complex political environments will be crucial in building trust and credibility with government, industry, and the community.

About you We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a substantial record of achievement in a senior executive role within government or a large complex organisation. The ideal candidate will have:
Proven ability to set strategic direction, lead high-performing teams, and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.Experience working with Traditional Owners, government, industry, and community stakeholders, with strong political acumen and interpersonal skills.Expertise in fiscal management, governance frameworks, and risk management, ensuring the highest standards in business management.Commitment to ethical standards and timely delivery of programs and services, with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation.Dedication to creating culturally safe environments and supporting the participation of Traditional Owners in governance and management.Sound like you?
