Devonport Child Care Centres (DCCI) seeks a strategy and community focused Chief Executive Officer who is passionate about excellence for our new generation of Devonport people to guide its team and broad ranging programmes across Devonport. Founded in the 1960s and formally established in 1986, DCCI is a not-for-profit organisation that serves over 500 families annually, providing accessible, high-quality childcare through a range of services, including two main centres, before-and-after-school care, and school holiday programmes. Recognised for its dedication to holistic childcare and community involvement, DCCI delivers services that include intergenerational playgroups and initiatives that support mental health and well being.
As the new CEO, you'll lead DCCI's day-to-day operations, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee staff development, guiding the organisation through future growth. You will also work closely with the Board to support DCCI's mission of high-quality, inclusive care for Devonport families, integrating strategic policy and forward-thinking management. Responsibilities include ensuring DCCI's financial sustainability, enhancing its reputation with stakeholders, and maintaining its compliance with the National Quality Framework standards for early childhood education. Your experience in people management, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance will be essential in supporting the organisation's growth while preserving its community-focused roots.
Benefits of this role include the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community, contribute to innovative childcare services, and work in an area known for its strong commitment to early childhood development.
