Chief Executive Officer

NT Major Events Company (NTMEC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation in delivering world-class events across the Northern Territory.

Reporting to the Board, you will provide visionary leadership and drive the performance and growth of the company while overseeing all major event operations. Through leading the planning, creative development, and execution of events, you will ensure they align with NTMEC's mission, while fostering strong relationships with government, commercial partners, and the community.

The role requires a results-driven individual with strong leadership capabilities, a passion for high-quality event delivery, and an ability to inspire and cultivate a highly effective team culture. Your understanding on a global scale will support you in overseeing a complex event portfolio and ensure the company remains at the forefront of the events landscape in order to achieve maximum benefit for the Northern Territory.

Success will require strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage competing priorities with operational and budgetary discipline. You will be skilled in building partnerships, driving new revenue streams, and navigating politically sensitive issues while maintaining NTMEC's reputation for excellence. As a seasoned executive, it is expected that you will offer demonstrated experience in event management, including innovation, staff management, marketing, risk management, and strategic reporting.
