This small organisation has been providing services to culturally and linguistically diverse families ever since. There have been some significant changes recently where Governments in Australia have recognised the need for increased support to prevent and stop domestic and family violence and sexual assault, providing more resources for frontline workers as well as for innovative programs. These new initiatives have allowed this small organisation to enter a period of significant growth, enabling an increase in the extent and influence of its work. What's needed now is a proactive, high-energy CEO who understands the issues facing CALD background women and to progress and grow this organisation. The outgoing CEO has done an outstanding job within this context, presiding over the rapid growth and scope of the organisation, and is now excited to pass on the baton. We are now looking for another very special Chief Executive, a leader who is passionate for action and well equipped to draw on experience, extensive networks and influence, to power thoughtful change in service provision to those living in very vulnerable situations, to recognise their strength and resilience and to facilitate a high-level service response. To be considered for this remarkable opportunity you need to demonstrate:experience in leading diverse teams which is critical to this roleconfidence, leadership capabilities, lots of empathy and wonderful communications skillsan extensive understanding of the unique challenges and needs of those who've experienced sexual violence and domestic violencethe passion and capabilities to drive meaningful real-life service changea CALD background which is desirable but not essentialDue to the nature of the services provided the organisation has adopted Section 25 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, which enables the employment of women only on the basis of 'genuine occupational requirements'.What is vital is having an understanding of the challenges faced by people from migrant or refugee backgrounds who are living in communities that marginalise or discriminate against them – as are your leadership skills which are expected to be rich in HR, stakeholder and partnership encouragement, funding in all its forms, networking and being approachable and unflappable with high level cross communication skills. To be considered for this role, please forward your cover letter and your resume in WORD format quoting reference number KJCEIW to ****** or contact Kaye Jeffers on 07 3211 0001.Windsor Group is committed to equal employment opportunities and providing a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace where individuals and diversity are encouraged.
