DescriptionThe Chief Engineer is responsible for the entire engineering operations of the hotel's systems, plant and equipment ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
This includes managing the department's team members and utilizing resources efficiently to deliver outstanding results.
Key responsibilities also include ensuring Australian building compliance requirements are met, acting as Chief Fire Warden, championing hotel environmental and sustainability initiatives, maintaining Hilton Brand Standards and ensuring the hotel's assets are well-maintained.
Job SummaryLead the Engineering Team in day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel.Implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.Collaborate with departments like Housekeeping and Front Office to guarantee smooth interactions.Responsibilities:Oversight of all engineering operations across the hotel's facilities, both interior and exterior.Ensure facilities management meets safety and sustainability standards, while delivering exceptional guest experiences.Plan, implement and administer an effective preventive maintenance program to reduce costs and improve efficiency.Develop and execute an energy management program to minimize the hotel's ecological footprint.Ensure the hotel complies with local codes and regulations related to safety and environmental standards.Conduct regular inspections of buildings and facilities to identify areas for improvement.Manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Coordinate renovation bidding and oversee contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures or natural disasters, with a swift and efficient resolution.About UsHilton Hotels is a renowned hospitality brand dedicated to excellence in guest service and satisfaction.
