Chief Design Engineer

Core Talent is spearheading the recruitment for a Chief Design Engineer to join a leading industry player in Tasmania, with the option to be located in the North or South.
As a vital member of the senior management team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a legacy of outstanding achievement and innovation.
This position also provides a unique chance to be part of the executive leadership team.
Your New Role Focusing on initiatives up to $100M, you will oversee multiple permanent and temporary works for iconic infrastructure projects.
Collaborating with a diverse internal and external team, you will ensure that designs are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
Your responsibilities will include: Assessing project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraints Leading design innovation, implementing value engineering, and promoting best practices Enhancing design progress and control systems Developing and monitoring project design schedules and budgets Ensuring compliance with project specifications, contracts, and relevant regulations Providing senior management with regular updates on design status, risks, and opportunities Maintaining accurate and up-to-date design records and documentation About You Do not apply if you do not have the following: A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Proven experience in structural design within the construction industry Experience in bridge, marine, foundation piles, and/or temporary works design and construction Demonstrated leadership skills and strong communication abilities Proficiency in construction project management tools and software Familiarity with industry codes of practice and standards Remuneration Package: A competitive salary package that includes: Company vehicle Phone and laptop Flexible workplace environment Core Talent invites you to take the next step in your career by clicking "apply now" to explore this exciting opportunity.
