Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive role will oversee all data science and analytics initiatives, ensuring that data insights propel the company towards both short-term goals and long-term strategic objectives.This role requires close collaboration with the company's Senior Leadership Team and key external stakeholders to integrate data science best practices and deliver transformative business outcomes. The CDATO will lead a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts & engineers, while also managing critical technology domains such as cloud infrastructure, information security, and software development. The CDATO will play a critical thought-leadership role guiding the organisation in the development of innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance our healthcare services, patient outcomes and stakeholder reporting.Knowledge & Experience RequirementsA minimum of 10+ years experience in applying advanced analytics and data science to solve complex business challenges, with proven experience in both consulting and in-house environments.Demonstrated success in leading data science & technology functions, with the ability to manage, inspire, and scale high-performance teams.Expertise in healthcare, insurance (B2B, B2C), or financial services, with a solid track record of using data analytics to drive measurable business outcomes.Strong technical proficiency in data science methodologies, including applied modelling, data visualisation, and building flexible, scalable analytics frameworks.Experience collaborating within complex matrix organisations and cross-functional teams, particularly in integrating and localising best practices.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies for diverse stakeholders, including actuarial, medical, marketing, and IT departments.Personal CapabilitiesThe ideal candidate will possess a strong results orientation and an unwavering focus on delivering value through data. They will demonstrate creativity, tenacity, and a deep commitment to continuous improvement. The CDATO must be adept at managing complex workflows and designing innovative solutions with a high degree of technical craftsmanship and attention to detail.
