This role is pivotal in shaping a modernised, collaborative technology environment within our client's telecommunications landscape. The candidate will bridge traditional architecture with modern, microservices-based strategies to drive transformational outcomes.What does success look like?Industry Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of the telecommunications industry and technology landscape, including familiarity with TM Forum initiatives such as Open Digital ArchitectureTechnology Transformation: Develop and execute strategies to transform legacy monolithic systems into a microservices architecture, leveraging collaboration and knowledge sharing across client teams and with experienced architects.Cloud Migration Acceleration: Proven experience in accelerating cloud migration initiatives, with an understanding of the complexities and best practices involved in moving to cloud-native architectures.Modern Engineering Acumen: Advocate for modern engineering practices. While hands-on engineering skills are not required, the candidate should have a deep understanding of modern engineering principles, challenges, and ways of working.Product Organisation Experience: Experience in a product-led organisation, with an understanding of how to drive abstraction strategies that allow teams to build and deliver customer products independently, minimising dependency on engineering teams and enabling a more autonomous, composable approach.Collaborative Architecture Leadership: Shift from traditional, gated governance models to an empowering, guardrail-based approach, promoting a culture of collaboration and autonomy within established architectural standards.Strategic Foresight: Act as a visionary for the technology estate, ensuring alignment with long-term business and technological goals.Cross-Domain Alignment: Establish coherence and alignment across customer engagement and billing domains, ensuring that both areas support the broader client objectives effectively and cohesively.Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams, translating architectural principles into business outcomes.Note: We are willing to consider candidates currently based in Australia who are interested in or willing to relocate to India.Why join Cognizant?
