About the company/role: Our client is a specialist in developing and manufacturing a range of specialty materials, and undertakes projects designed to provide innovative solutions for specific applications.
The main duties of this role are to assist the Technical Services Chemist by ensuring the day-to-day laboratory functions are running effectively.
Duties: Chemical analysis of products, such as physical and analytical testing Equipment calibration and maintenance Data entry and other documentation Answering the phone and responding to queries from customers, production etc.
General laboratory upkeep e.g.
ordering consumables, quality doc reviews, glassware wash up Skills & Requirements: Currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related major i.e.
materials or polymer chemistry Relevant experience with industrial chemicals such as urethanes / synthetic elastanes / adhesives, highly regarded Knowledge of analytical techniques and quality control requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong computer literacy and proven ability to keep diligent records A positive, can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn Valid driver's licence and access to your own reliable vehicle Availability to work during weekdays Apply!
