This is a great opportunity for a Chemist wanting to relocate to the Southwest region of Western Australia, Tronox will support your relocation per our policy.

Reporting to the Quality Laboratory Lead, the Chemist will be accountable for:
Developing and maintaining XRF calibrations suitable for laboratory requirementsMonitoring quality control within the laboratoryParticipating in projects to implement new instrumentation and methodologies to the analytical laboratoryEnsuring analytical method validation and measurement uncertainty are applied to all laboratory test methodologiesDemonstrating a proactive approach to teamwork, continuous improvement and cost-reductionReporting on process deviations; assisting in plant investigations and problem resolution; advising on protocols for testing and making recommendations for test methodologies.Ensuring optimal availability of equipment by adherence to maintenance/calibration schedules and timely modifications/repairs.Participating in Global Quality Laboratory projectsMaintaining laboratory reporting systems including SQL database, S4 Fiori and Excel worksheetsInvestigating complaints, queries or deviations from test methods and providing recommendations for preventative and corrective measuresMaintaining the laboratory quality management system in accordance with ISO17025 requirements.Performing audits on laboratory and company quality management systemsDriving improvement in laboratory safety, including reduction in risk from manual handling dutiesPerforming testing and reporting requirements for the laboratory as requiredAbout You To be successful in this role you will ideally need:
Bachelor Degree in Science based discipline, chemistry preferredExperience working in a laboratoryHighly motivated and promotes a safe and inclusive work environmentDetailed knowledge and understanding of XRF calibrationHigh level of competency with Excel formulas and data connectionsExperience working in NATA accredited laboratoryTrained and experienced in performing internal auditsS4 Fiori knowledgeWhat Next?
