The Role:
We are seeking applicants for the position of Chemist who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this role offers.
This Chemist will be responsible for method development and validation, instrument troubleshooting and calibration, and hands-on analysis.
This position is responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring both short-term and long-term objectives are met.
Responsibilities: Maintain a safe working environmentEnsure all work practices within the area are performed to the relevant standards and proceduresProvision of quality data and turnaround within clients' specified requirementsApplying the quality and continuous improvement system processesEnsuring adherence to standard operating proceduresProcessing and interpreting dataTroubleshoot laboratory equipmentRequirements: Strong communication and leadership skills advantageousProfessional qualifications in chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent demonstrable experienceExperience in laboratory and mineral processingAbility to maintain a high quality of work while meeting daily production targetsAbility to comply with site specific and Bureau Veritas QHSE policiesAbility to work independently and use your initiativeOnsite mine experience advantageousRoster:
Rotational roster – 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster
