The Role:We are seeking applicants for the position of Chemist who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this role offers.
This Chemist will be responsible for method development and validation, instrument trouble shooting and calibration and hands on analysis.
This position is responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring both short-term and long term objectives are met.
Responsibilities:• Maintain a safe working environment• Ensure all work practices within the area are performed to the relevant standards and procedures• Provision of quality data and turnaround within clients' specified requirements• Applying the quality and continuous improvement system processes• Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures• Processing and interpreting data• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment Requirements:Strong communication and leadership skills advantageousProfessional qualifications in chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent demonstrable experienceExperience in laboratory and mineral processingAbility to maintain a high quality of work while meeting daily production targetsAbility to comply with site specific and Bureau Veritas QHSE policiesAbility to work independently and use your initiativeOnsite mine experience advantageous Roster:Rotational roster – 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster Benefits:We offer an attractive base salary between $80,000 - $90,000 and an opportunity to advance your career in a leading global organisation, as well as: Fantastic Training and Development opportunities; an annual review to plan your career development.Health & Wellbeing PlatformFree access to our Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounted Health Insurance Please note that as part of the recruitment process you must be able to pass a medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
