The OpportunityLocated in East Gippsland, an opportunity exists for a laboratory technician to join their operations on an initial 12-month contract. The PositionA Chemist is an individual contributor in their early career development path. Personnel work with Specialists, mentor Chemists and First Line Supervisors to manage Lab instruments for Safety, Quality, and Operations and solve problems to support operating units and develop methods for non-routine testing. Hands-on work and data analysis is expected. Networking with immediate site key interfaces is expected to develop.
Data integrity (DIAF) Compliance and understanding of QP&GDevelop knowledge of quality assurance based established testingSolve manufacturing/production problems by using specialised analytical techniquesResponsible for the development and improvement of test methodsEstablish credibility in solving analytical problems using a broad range of techniquesResponsible for selection, purchase, validation, removal, and maintenance requirements of test equipment to meet requests/requirements/needsSampling and testing of oil, gas, LPG, plant chemicals, wastewater, potable water etc. Completion of calibration and maintenance activities.
