We are seeking an experienced Head Chef, Sous Chef and Line Chef to lead our kitchen team at Dugald River Village.Showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic remote mining environment while providing high-quality meals and on-site dining experience for residents.This is a permanent Full-Time opportunity working a 2 weeks on/1 week off roster, either DIDO from local and surrounding areas or FIFO from Brisbane or Townville.Head Chef: The PositionLead and manage the catering team, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen and dining operations Deliver catering services and menu as per contractual commitmentsDevelop and create diverse and nutritious menus in accordance that cater to various dietary requirements, including periodical menu planning and implementation Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and controlling food costs Train and mentor catering team members to foster a positive and productive work environment Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards Work closely with village managers to meet client expectations and execute special events or themed meals Sous Chef: The Position:Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth service.Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency in quality and standardsLead and train kitchen staff during service, ensuring they adhere to best practicesManage kitchen inventory, assist with ordering, and reduce waste through efficient stock control.Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu items.Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all timesLine Chef: The Position:Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet menu specifications? Ensure food quality and presentation meet establishedAssist in the preparation of ingredients, including bulk food preparation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations? Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment? Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service? Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in various kitchen operations?
