Due to recent growth in our business, we are seeking multiple Full-time Line Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs to join our FIFO Resources Catering Team on a 14/7 roster FIFO from Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all safety and quality processes are followed and exceed customer expectations in regard to a healthy and delicious food offering, whilst being in line with contractual requirements. Assist with managing a team and cater for a large number of residents, creating and preparing menus for all meals such as Breakfast, Dinner and Crib. This is a rare opportunity to display your passion, team management and culinary experience.
The Position:
Responsible for effectively managing P&L and food costs
Responsible for effectively managing kitchen operations/logistics including stock control
Understand and manage client expectations
Supervision of Chefs in relation to day-to-day operations
Ensure compliance with Healthy, Safety and Environment requirements

Minimum Criteria:
Australian Trade Certification or Cert III in Commercial Cookery essential
Previous leadership experience preferred
High volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience
Experience in a mining village operation preferred but all professional kitchen experience considered
Willing to obtain or have a Queensland Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Surface Mining Induction
Previous experience working in a remote setting desired
Strong leadership skills, self-motivated and can demonstrate initiative on the job
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and management
