Job Description
CATCH22 ENTERPRISES PTY LTD require Chefs and Cooks able to work in a busy establishment. Minimum 1-2 years relevant post-qualification commercial cookery experience and demonstrable kitchen supervisor/chef experience is required.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above is desirable. English Language Ability, suitable test where required for sponsorship.
The role includes: Assisting the head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations; Supervision of kitchen staff and section Chef; Menu design and costing; Budgeting and stock take; Preparing and cooking food to a benchmark standard for the restaurant; Ensuring that meals are prepared, produced, presented and served to the highest possible standards; Working in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations; Ordering stock under the direction of the head Chef; Checking deliveries as per order sheets; In collaboration with the head Chef and other kitchen staff, contributing to the planning and development of recommendations for improved work procedures; Handling complaints and customer suggestions in a professional manner; Upholding and maintaining correct standards of hygiene and safety; Undertaking training as required; Communicating effectively with the kitchen crew and other members of staff; Any additional duties associated with the kitchen or food production as directed by the Head Chef or management. Full-time positions will be provided with an Annualised Salary based on your relevant qualifications and experience. Chef: $73,000.00 - $75,000.00; Cook: $72,000 - $74,000.00.
