Salary packaging Full job description CHEFS & BARISTAS Coffee Lab ACTON (AC Lab Pty Ltd) & Home Brew (FB Lab Pty Ltd) located in two locations is fast paced café and restaurant serving quality coffee and food. We are open for breakfast/lunch one venue and both day and evening trade for the other venue.
We are seeking candidates for the following full-time positions:
Sous Chef About the role:
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our team for the full-time position. The Sous Chef will be expected to work flexible hours from Monday to Sunday.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the head chef in all the duties such as the supervision of the kitchen, food preparation and cooking. Training new kitchen staff, menu/ recipe creation by suggesting new dishes and ingredients based on trends, seasonality, and customer preferences. Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations adhering to food safety and hygiene systems. Managing inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Ability to produce high-quality foods and deliver quality work. Ability to address any issues or challenges that arise in the kitchen including equipment malfunctions or staffing shortages. Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced culinary environment. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team. High level of understanding and commitment to Food safety and hygiene practices. Passion for providing our customers with exceptional cuisine and service. What we offer:
Competitive salary range: $70,000-$72,000/PA excluding Super. Supportive and inclusive working environment Head Chef: Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: To be negotiated depending on the candidate. Must have minimum 5 years experience
Roles and Responsibilities: Manage & supervision of the kitchen, Ordering and Supplier management, Create operational procedures and systems for the kitchen,
menu/ recipe creation, implementing food safety and hygiene systems.
Head barista and Senior Baristas: Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $68,000-$75,000/PA excluding Super . Head barista must have minimum 5 years experience,
Roles and Responsibilities: Manage the Coffee Side of the business, Quality Control, Stock Control, staff training and must have strong focus on outstanding customer service.
