Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the operations of the kitchen.Plan, organise, supervise and monitor food preparation at all stages of cooking.Full operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes, and presentation styles of dishes produced within the kitchen.Ensure quality and quantity of food produced.Supervise, lead, and advise kitchen staff on cooking procedures.Develop and plan menus and daily specials.Create preparation lists for kitchen crew.Plan, collect, and estimate food and commodities for menus.Prepare menus, recipes, and task sheets.Lead, mentor, and manage culinary teams.Maintain hygiene in the kitchen and ensure adherence to hygiene/occupational health and safety regulations.Maintain effective communications with stakeholders for efficient business performance.Prepare specialty food as per customer cultural requirements, restaurant specials, and dietary requirements.Manage storage of food and preservation to reduce wastage.Manage food costing and inventory.Ensure proper food presentation.Maintain product, service, and market knowledge.Take regular feedback from patrons and implement it for the betterment of the business.Estimate and order supplies and raw materials as per kitchen requirements.Participate in selection, training, and scheduling of staff as needed.About You2 years' work experience as a chef/relevant qualifications.Confident, friendly, and can-do attitude.Have a passion for well-executed food.Be a team player with a collaborative working style.
