The Role Predominately Monday to Friday working days with school holidays off. Trippas White Group is seeking an energetic & dynamic, hands-on Chef Manager to lead our teams at one of Melbourne's Inner Eastern prestigious schools, along with experience in events of all styles and guest numbers. We are looking for a chef manager with flair and creativity, a passion for fantastic food and a willingness to work in a positive team environment with a supportive client.
Reporting directly to the offsite Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day running and supervision of the kitchen including functions and retail. You will be multi-skilled with the ability to lead your team.
Your key responsibilities will include: Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contactsDay-to-day production of all kitchen requirements both retail & eventsHigh volume production of contemporary foodFinancial and Operational Management of the kitchen operationEnsuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativityManaging staffing requirements and rostersOrdering and replenishing stockTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Proven and successful background in Kitchen ManagementA focus on providing excellent contemporary food!Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplinesAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentHighly developed leadership skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principlesPlease note that a Working With Children check and driver's licence is a mandatory requirement of this position.Benefits and Culture Supportive and inclusive cultureA professional and safe working environmentGood employee benefits and entitlementsDo you meet the experience for this position and would like to find out more?
