Winner of the 2024 Awards for Excellence, this is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Catering, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Oil & Gas Company situated in the Karratha or Pilbara, WA.

This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of food safety and hygiene regulations in accordance with HACCP Procedures.
In addition to inventory, stock and budget management, experience with recipe adaptation, dish presentation and knowledge of various cooking techniques available in a FIFO kitchen environment is a must, along with kitchen equipment maintenance and operation.
Duties include:
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, in line with HACCP guidelines, procedures and documentationProduction of high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented mealsContinuous menu design and implementation, working with Head Office Catering TeamEffectively managing kitchen operations and logistics, including stock controlPreparation of budgets, forecasts and managing food costsProvide leadership and coaching to a Team, coordinate and support all Catering Staff onsite, whilst maintaining a customer-focused work environmentAssist Site Managers, if requiredAbout You At Programmed, we have four core values that we ask our Employees to observe, act on and deliver – Personal Safety Leadership, Care & Empathy, Customer Service and Diversity, Inclusion & Equality.
To join our Catering team, you will be an experienced Head Chef with demonstrated experience and innovation in mass catering environments.
You will possess strong knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards, with cultural dietary requirements being an advantage.
Additionally, a commitment to the safety of yourself and others, strength with managing a Team and a passion to provide quality product, and service with a smile, at all times.
You will possess:
Previous experience as a Head Chef in a mass catering environment, Minesite / Village experienceCertificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)Food Safety Supervisor certificationAustralian Working RightsVALID C Class LicenseAbility to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol ScreeningCurrent satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)First Aid (desirable)Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
