The Opportunity The Domain Country Club is a large resort-style retirement living community located in Ashmore on the Gold Coast and home to over 370+ independent living apartments & villas. In the role of Chef Manager, you will be extremely hands-on, working closely with residents and your small team of hospitality staff to lead your kitchen to success by providing exquisite lunch & dinner services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents and their guests. You will have a positive rapport with residents, be hands-on and ensure sufficient supplies of goods & ingredients. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for food and delivering a gold standard of service to our customers!
This is a full-time Monday-Friday opportunity working 9.30am-6pm What we offer: Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave optionsTwo (2) additional 'All About Me' leave days per calendar yearAnnual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive schemeEmployee Referral Program and Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providersOpportunities for further career progressionBe part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living communityYou will: Be responsible for all kitchen operations - preparing, cooking and overseeing lunch and dinner services, providing guidance to your team and creating fresh ideasWork closely with your food & beverage team to deliver great service, ensure the kitchen is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functionsMonitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policiesComplete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendmentsComplete staff rostering, manage development & hiring and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to residentsFollow up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issuesWhat you'll bring: Experience in a casual dining kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs)Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience)Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)Who we are As a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
