The Opportunity
Peregian Springs Country Club is a large retirement living community that is home to 230+ independent living units and is located moments from the PeregianSprings Golf Club.Working closely with the Community Manager and your small team of hospitality staff, you'll lead the kitchen to success by providing exquisite catering & hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents and ensure team members are executing all policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have a positive rapport with restaurant guests, be hands-on, understand food safety principles and ensure sufficient supplies of goods & ingredients. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for food, people and delivering a gold standard of service to our residents! This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 9.30-5.30pm What we offer: Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options Two (2) additional 'All About Me' leave days per calendar year Annual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive scheme Employee ReferralProgramand Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Opportunities for further career progression Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community Opportunity to take part in AveoLearning & Development courses to develop your professional skills You will: Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - overseeing lunch & dinner services, providing guidance to your team and creating fresh ideas in the kitchen Work closely with your food & beverage team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly andcoordinating ideas for events and functions Monitor daily Food Safety and compliance checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments Complete staff rostering, manage hiring and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to residents Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues What you'll bring: Experience in a casual dining kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, aged care,cafes, a la cartesettings, RSLsor pubs) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required) Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rosteringand admin experience) Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required) Who we are
