Cranbrook Care is looking for a Chef Manager to join the team at our premier aged care residence, William Cape Gardens, located near the Pacific Highway at Kanwal, a suburb of Wyong on the NSW Central Coast.
William Cape Gardens is a newly renovated, state of the art aged care residence catering to local residents of the Central Coast, providing the full spectrum of care and service including Dementia Care, Palliative Care, and Respite Care.
ABOUT THE ROLE We believe that delicious, fresh food is integral to an enjoyable and healthy lifestyle. Dining is a fabulous social occasion that is one of the most important aspects of our residents' days.
Our kitchen operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This role is full-time, working Monday to Friday with the requirement to work Public Holidays that fall on these days.
We are seeking a Chef Manager who:
Is committed to delivering an exceptional level of serviceIs responsive to changes in the dietary requirements of residentsCan work as part of the residence's Leadership TeamHas proven experience in managing and leading a kitchen teamIs committed to delivering quality services to our elderly residentsABOUT YOU You will:
Have a Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or other related trade qualificationHave experience in aged care, hospital, or hotel backgroundBe experienced in delivering high-quality food servicesHave a sound understanding of all regulatory compliance and food safety associated with cooking for vulnerable personsHave hygiene and infection control knowledgeHave strong communication and time management skillsGood computer literacy skills are an advantageBe organized, passionate, and possess a 'can do' attitudeCan provide positive and caring leadership to team membersThis position will allow you to be part of a cohesive, dynamic team, dedicated to providing the best level of service and care to our residents.
