The Chef plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Arcare by providing delicious and nutritious meals. The chef prepare appetizing and well-balanced meals while fostering positive dining experiences that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents. The Chef will supervise the Catering team when on duty.
Your primary functions will be: Meal Preparation: Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef. Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents. Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents. Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes. Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Skills & Experience Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery). Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn. Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
