Your new role: Based 30kms outside of Katherine, Northern Territory, we are seeking a Chef with Semi-Fine Dining experience to join our team, working in our award-winning Cicada Lodge. You will work with a team of professionals in a friendly environment. These positions are offered initially on a casual basis with the opportunity of going full-time, permanent for the right candidate.
You will work on a rotating roster, with the ability to engage in different areas of the business.
Some key tasks include (dependent on the role): Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards.Assist Head Chef and Sous Chef as directed and where required at all outlets within Nitmiluk Tours, in a timely and efficient manner across a 7-day working week.Assist with monthly stocktakes as per company account requirements.Maintain sensitivity to local cultural traditions in preparation and service of all food on premises.Maintain highest professional sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards at all times.Ensure the proper storage of raw and processed food items including the condition of food in freezers.Comply with workplace health and safety practices, and wear personal protective equipment and clothing at all times where required and use safe manual handling techniques.What you will need to succeed: Our staff prides itself on providing outstanding hospitality to our guests, and your services are a significant part of this.
