Job Title: ChefWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Trison Enterprises Pty Ltd's busy restaurant in Geelong.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the kitchen section, including back of house operations, kitchen staff, and processes in preparing, delivering, and implementing our menus.
Duties: Prepare and supervise food preparation per menu, including designing specials, seasonal menus, and menus for functions.Provide costings to management for new menu items, including all menus.Develop new menu items and recipes with management and chefs, and train kitchen staff on their implementation.Oversee stock levels, coordinate supply with other culinary staff and management, and review and place orders for stock.Manage and approve rosters for kitchen staff, interview staff with management, and provide advice on hiring.Ensure food quality and standards are met, including plating, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.Respond to customer dietary needs and queries, and train staff in various recipes and cooking methods.Implement food safety regulations, workplace safety procedures, and contribute to customer dining experiences.Qualifications: Australian Certificate IV or Diploma in Culinary Arts, or 3 years of relevant work experience may substitute formal qualifications.
Salary: $73,000 - $75,000 + Superannuation (commensurate with level/type of qualifications and work experience).
