The Position :Our Chefs are employed to prepare, cook and serve quality food for our customers on our sites, catering for roughly 150- 200 residents. We currently have one very rare opportunity for an experienced Chef to join our team at Zeehan Village, TAS DIDO - Must live in Tasmania14 days on 7 days off - 10 hours per daySalary $77,500 Responsibilities Prepare buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib lunch, or Dinner and DessertsYou will work within a team of Chefs, kitchen utilities & dining room employees to deliver exceptional quality and service to the village residentsAdhere to safe work practices and safe food handling proceduresEnsure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimumOffer guidance and support to the kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customersEnhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business The Person You will be a qualified Chef with Cert III in Commercial Cookery or EquivalentBuffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Lunch, Dinner and DessertsYou will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesAttention to detail and great time management is a mustExcellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operationsExcellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance Ensure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimumOffer guidance and support to the kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customersEnhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the businessMaintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards.
