Green Leaves Carindale is looking for a passionate, qualified chef.About the RolePrepare a wide variety of nutritious meals, purees and special diet meals for babies and children as well as freshly baked treats for families dailyExperienced in planning a rotation menu and confident in stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for the kitchenEnjoy greeting and interacting with our families in a friendly manner and provide barista service (training provided if you are not experienced with this)Display excellent verbal, written and time management skills with high levels of initiativeMaintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirementsTeam player who is open to different styles of working in a kitchen and receptive to feedbackAble to guide, mentor, support and work professionally with a Kitchen handProvide culinary classes alongside our educators to even the littlest in our centres!Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen (preferred, but not essential)QualificationsCompleted or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (health & community sector)Current Working with Children's CheckCertificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalentEssential Qualifications/Experience/Skills:Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalentFood Safety CertificateState relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety ScreeningExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectivelyAbility to work from 6.30 am to 2.30 pm in line with the opening of the Centre each day.Make Your Move!If you are excited by the opportunity to join Green Leaves Carindale, then please apply now!
