Permanent Full time Salary - $70,000 - $80,000 Ballarat Indian Restaurant has been serving authentic Northern Indian cuisine to the Ballarat community for many years and has developed a solid rapport with customers. We are looking for a Chef to plan and organize the preparation and cooking of food in our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and create diverse menus that highlight creativity and quality.Estimate food and labor costs and manage to budget effectively.Order and oversee the procurement of food supplies.Monitor the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation andpresentation.Discuss food preparation concerns with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waitstaff to ensure seamless operations.Show and advise on cooking techniques and procedures.Prepare and cook meals with skill and attention to detail.Explain and enforce hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safekitchen environment.Select, train, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold high culinary standards.Manage the freezing and preservation of foods when necessary.Qualifications and Experience: Must have Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.Minimum of 1 year of relevant full-time experience in a similar roleJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
