The Happy Turtle Cafe is a small beachside cafe located at Happy Valley Caloundra. Over the years it has become an icon of this area and is well known for the amazing brekky and lunch options we produce.
We have an energetic, efficient, and fun team that is well trained and looked after. We work hard but keep the mood light and have created a bond that goes beyond the workplace.
This role requires the chef to serve up on the pass directly to the public with a full breakfast and lunch menu in a takeaway grab'n'go type arrangement. We are looking for a friendly, charismatic person who can act as a face of our small business when needed and create positive experiences for the customers.
You will develop a strong sense of community in this workplace as you get to know our regulars and they get to know you. Being a small family business with a positive ethos and succeeding in uncertain times has created a strong and supportive following with the locals, and they will love to get to know you.

We are searching for someone with a passion for vibrant and nutritious food who is willing to take on some leadership responsibilities when necessary and is confident working independently.
One of the owners is transitioning out of the kitchen, making room for our new team member and will provide support for the incoming chef.
Open 7 days a week, 7am - 4pm with some weekend work required. No night shifts! Offering a 3 or 4-day per week roster with only one weekend day upon negotiation with the successful candidate. Offering healthy rates and conditions to secure the right person for the job based on experience and capability.
