Evergreen serves the needs of approximately 100 residents in Evergreen Lodge and an additional 149 residences in Evergreen Village.An exciting opportunity exists to join Evergreen West Gosford for a Full Time Chef working in our Hotel Services Team providing high quality dining to residents through our Main Kitchen, Village Café and Auditorium.Full-time 38 hours per week.
Includes weekends and public holidays.Afternoon shift 12.00pm to 8.00pm daily.Minimum Requirements:Cert III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) required.Food Safety Supervisor Certificate required.Police Check required.Salary:$34.56 per hour + Penalties + Super + Salary Packaging.Salary Packaging of up to $15,900 per FBT year (pay less tax and increase your take home pay) with increased benefits for full-time employees such as reduction to rent or mortgage payments, vehicle leasing, and meal and entertainment card up to $2,600 per year.About the Role:Role reports to the Head Chef.Food preparation, production, and presentation in line with our menus.Oversee the evening meal service.Facilitate the daily kitchen close procedure.What We're Looking for in a Candidate:Knowledge of Food Safety Principles and Food Safety Plans.Understanding of the IDDSI Framework and texture modified diets.Knowledge of Work Health and Safety Principles.Knowledge of Nutrition Principles.Skills which support effective food preparation, cooking, and storage.An ability and desire to add value and enhance the resident dining experience.Work experience aligned to the role.To apply, provide your resume and a cover letter (max 1 page) outlining your experience in the relevant areas.Please note that the application for this opportunity is set at Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
