Join our team as a Chef de Partie at The Star Brisbane .
The Star Brisbane is Australia's newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct.
The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way.
The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options.
It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane.
It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The role will report to the senior team members within the kitchen brigade, becoming an important part of our culinary team.
These roles offer the opportunity to produce food items relevant to the delegated Chef's station to the highest possible standards of quality and presentation whilst meeting established deadlines.
A few of your responsibilities Thorough knowledge of the entire menu, including an understanding of all base products and ingredients used.
Food is prepared for food presentation, in line with menu requirements and kitchen standards (SOP's)  Mentor and develop the Demi's, Commis', Cooks and Apprentices in the team Be able to perform complex cooking duties and produce a dish/recipe, from a combination of ingredients without supervision and assist mis en place across all sections.
What we will be looking for   High volume culinary experience Can- do team attitude  Strong knowledge of food safety regulations  Trade certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) About you   You will be experienced in high volume kitchen environments with sound knowledge across all sections.
These roles require comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and OH&S standards and taking pride in keeping your section stocked and tidy.
These roles are integral to the team and ensuring all preparation for your section is in line with service for the day and adhering to food safety requirements.
