Core requirements of the role We seek a talented culinary technician, who has a strong work ethic to join our kitchen team full time, in the form of a Chef de Partie.
In this role at Stamford Grand Adelaide, you will directly liaise to support the kitchen management team with implementing, developing, and upholding standard operational procedures, and culinary goals set by the Executive Chef.
Core Duties Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking proceduresOversee food inventory, and storage to minimise wastage and ensure freshnessDiscussing food preparation issues with Executive Chef and Kitchen staffCollaborate with the Senior Chefs and Banquets Manager on functionsAssist with staff training and mentoring new startsUse all equipment in a safe and practical manner, ensuring the safety of associates and guestsContribute to menu specials with creative flairHave the flexibility to work in all areas of the kitchen operationsManage the regular rotation of stock, ensuring minimal wastageUphold strict health, hygiene and safety standardsAbout you Previous experience as a Chef De Partie or aboveProven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work collaboratively with a multicultural diverse teamFlexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidaysComprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and WH&S standardsDemonstrated experience working in a 4- or 5-star hotelAbility to work unrestricted in Australia – full working rightsBe able to lift, push and pull large objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), bend and kneelGood reading, writing and basic mathsCulture and Benefits Supplied meals during allocated rostered shiftsDiscounted onsite car parkingDaily discounted coffee and dining menuHow to Apply If you have the experience, we'll give you the opportunity.
