Permanent full-time position 38 hours per week $74,000 - 80,000 per year + superannuation Location of work: Coogee, NSW We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Chef de Partie to join our team at Coogee Bay Hotel. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the efficient operation of all activities in the kitchens, including assisting the Head Chef with the planning of menus, quality of food, preparation of food, presentation of meals, guest services, and financial budgeting & wages.
Responsibilities: Ensure the presentation and cleanliness of the kitchen is maintained to a high standard. Ensure the highest quality and presentation of all food products served, including the production and preparation of food. Maintain, review, and improve food stock control systems and processes. Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen. Supervise & adhere to legislative requirements including Workplace Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards. Ensure temperature/cleaning records are up-to-date. Ensure stock levels for trade requirements are maintained for food and related equipment. Ensure regular and concise food stock takes are conducted and any discrepancies are investigated. Assist with the check of all kitchen deliveries and creation of purchase orders to match all invoices received for kitchen supplies. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery and hospitality management. At least 1-3 years of work experience in large commercial kitchens. Experience working in teams of different sizes. Experience cooking a wide variety of cuisines. Able to work independently.
