What we offerLaundered uniforms, including Chefs Jackets and ApronsDiscounted meals onsiteOpportunities to be a part of world-class eventsOpportunities to grow your career with a global businessAccess to health and lifestyle discountsCompetitive salary on offerWhat you will do?Oversee culinary operations across the MCG's Cafes and Staff Dining, including Hugh Trumble Cafe and the Paddock Cafe.Develop innovative menu concepts that align with current food trends and guest preferences.Deliver operation of event-day and non-event day catering, across a variety of cuisines.Lead a culinary team to success, providing training and strong leadership.Set, implement, and review high food service standards, implementing systems.Support with control of the department budget and food costs, embracing and following our IT systems.Manage performance and labour costs for permanent and casual kitchen staff.Champion on-site food safety and HACCP accreditation.Collaborate with other F&B arms to provide first-class dining to all customers.More about youA successful track record of managing large-scale or high-end restaurant kitchen operations (venue/event experience will be highly regarded).Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and motivating a large and diverse kitchen team.Experience with menu setting and stock control.Demonstrated commercial acumen, with experience delivering business outcomes.Appropriate culinary qualifications.Competence in using business technology such as stock control systems, spreadsheets, and accounting systems.Excellent communication and leadership skills at all levels.Who we areThis iconic venue isn't just about sports; it's a cultural hub that hosts multiple Australian Football League teams, cricket matches, concerts, and an array of special events.
