Picnic Real Food Bar is a busy and successful contemporary eatery at North Stores.
North Stores is an architecturally designed tourism venue set amongst ancient tall trees and landscaped gardens, located in the heart of Tamborine Mountain. North Stores includes, Picnic Real Food Bar, Loborn Tasting Bar - a speciality amaro and gin micro distillery, Potta Studio ceramics and workshops, Outland Denim, and The Floral Atelier, as well as a 130 sqm event space.
At Picnic Real Food Bar we feature fresh local produce, focusing on creating seasonal menus offering a range of nourishing meals, including vegan and gluten-free options. All food is made from scratch.
Everything is considered here. We prepare and cook all our jams, condiments, relishes, pastries, pies and cakes. Our beverage offerings include micro roastery Reuben Hills coffee, Byron Bay organic Mayde Tea, cold pressed juices, local beers on tap, and Australian natural wines.
Our sustainability mission is low waste. We use bio-compostable packaging. We have installed a closed loop compost system which manages 20kg of food waste daily. The property includes a UV filtered fresh water supply and a bio-wastewater system. We love our raised-bed kitchen gardens and mini fruit orchard, providing us access to fresh on-site fruit, edible flowers, and vegetables daily.

Excellent leadership with clear communication Passion for creating nourishing food Upholding high business standards and team culture Expertise in managing day-to-day operations and service Kitchen management, ordering, stock control, budgeting, and general administration Management of small kitchen team Pastry/baking experience an asset Food safety supervisor certificate Values health and wellbeing Availability Wednesday to Sunday 7-3pm, and flexibility for occasional dinner service Picnic trading hours are Wednesday to Sunday 8am–3pm, offering breakfast and lunch, pop-up dinner, BBQ's and catering.
