Our aged care facility is seeking a talented individual to join our team as an experienced chef or cook.
The Position: We are currently seeking an experienced Chef / Cook to join our catering department at Eliza Purton in Ulverstone, Tasmania on a Casual basis. As a chef / cook in our facility, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

The chef / cook will work under the guidance of the Chef Manager to prepare, cook and serve nourishing, palatable and attractive in-house meals for residents which are consistent with the guidelines of the Food Safety Program. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in an aged care facility or similar environment. You should have a strong understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate: Previous experience in residential aged care or a similar commercial kitchen A relevant qualification A current national police certificate (or ability to acquire) to enable the individual to work in the aged care industry. To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
