Our goal is to be "the leading best value local Asian fusion restaurant on Sunshine Coast."An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Sous Chef to join the enthusiastic team at Junk Restaurant.
We are looking for applications from positive and driven individuals who are looking for the next challenge in their careers.The successful applicants must be able to:Demonstrate previous pan cooking experience.Work over a 7-day roster including nights, public holidays, and weekends.Follow recipes with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.Maintain efficiency and food quality under pressure.Prepare and portion mise en place in line with Junk Restaurant policies and procedures ready for service.Demonstrate a working knowledge of food allergens and food safety generally.Demonstrate a strong focus on food quality and consistency.Demonstrate previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen.Maintain cleaning checklists and high levels of cleanliness at all times.Demonstrate previous experience working with and following written systems and procedures.Demonstrate experience training and managing staff.Maintain a professional and positive attitude while working under pressure.Minimum Requirements: 3 years of experience if no AQF IV in commercial cookery.Salary: $70,000 to $75,000Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Visa sponsorshipPhysical Setting:RestaurantShift:8 hour shiftWork Days:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)Work Authorisation:Australia (Preferred)Work Location: In personExpected Start Date: 16/11/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
