Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in Indian cuisine and traditional sweets while leading a dynamic culinary team.
While our company is registered in Melbourne, this position is based at our Perth restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the kitchen team in preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes and traditional sweets to the highest standards.
• Develop innovative menu items while maintaining the authenticity of Indian flavors.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and timely service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage inventory and order supplies, focusing on high-quality ingredients.
• Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary excellence.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including scheduling and performance management.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to improve existing recipes and develop new ones.
Requirements:
• Formal education or culinary qualification (mandatory).
• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar leadership role.
• Extensive expertise in Indian cuisine, including traditional sweets.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Strong skills in spice blending, flavor profiling, and innovative plating techniques.
• Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and customer service.
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
