Flavours of Tandoor is a multi-cuisine Indian restaurant situated in Sunbury Victoria. Since our inception in 2023, Flavours of Tandoor has been tantalizing taste buds with freshly prepared, authentic Indian cuisine. About the Role We are looking for a Chef for our restaurant in Sunbury. We need someone who has prior experience in preparing authentic Indian delicacies.
What we're looking for Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:
Prepare and cook full course meals. Schedule and supervise kitchen staff. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe food handling practices. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance. Estimate food requirements, menu planning, and associated food costs. Follow hygiene practices, keep the kitchen clean and maintain all work areas. Cook and season food according to recipes and experience. Regulate and control the temperature of all equipment used. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Communicate efficiently and clearly in written form and through representations. Be self-motivated and take responsibility. Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks. Exhibit excellent organizational skills. Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team. Skills and Experience Experienced trade certificate qualified Chefs with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
