Chef/Cook

Permanent Part-Time - 48 hours per fortnight We are seeking a passionate, creative Chef/Cook to join our healthcare culinary team.
You will work closely with the kitchen team and wellbeing staff to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our patients and residents.
This is an opportunity to use your culinary talents to nourish and uplift our community's health.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Preparing meals for patients, residents and community meals with specialized dietary needs (e.g.
diabetic, low-sodium, etc.
)Cooking balanced, appetizing meals for our consumersMaintaining a sanitary, organized kitchen and managing food safety proceduresTraining and overseeing kitchen staff to ensure smooth operationsTo excel in this role, MDHS would prefer:
Healthcare cooking experience and qualificationsKnowledge of clinical nutrition principles and therapeutic dietsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesCommitment to food safety and sanitation protocolsIf you're passionate about cooking, person-centred care and promoting wellness, we want to hear from you!
