Salary: $74,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Experience Required: At least 3 years' experience as chef in a commercial kitchen
Qualification Required: Diploma of Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
Job Description
Coco & Rye Artisan Bakery & Café is seeking an experienced chef to join our team.
The chef will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking different types of Australian café dishes for both breakfast and lunch Maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards: Ensuring that all food handling and preparation areas comply with health and safety regulations.
Inventory and stock management: Ordering and managing inventory to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and minimizing waste.
Ensuring that all café meals are always made at the highest standards as set by Coco & Rye Catering for special dietary requirements: Adjusting food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
Skills and Experience
At least 3 years of full-time experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen Diploma of Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) Works well in a team but mostly independently in a kitchen Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times (breakfast and lunch rush).
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
